Relative density (water = 1):2.3-2.4, bulk density: 0.9-1.2, auto-ignition temperature: 250 ℃.
insurance powder is a strong reducing agent, which has good stability when stored in a dry closed container. Heating to above 75°C decomposes, exotherms and releases sulfur dioxide. When the temperature reaches 250 ℃, the insurance powder can ignite spontaneously and undergo its own oxidation-reduction reaction. When the dew insurance powder decomposes in humid air, it will be accompanied by heat release; when it is placed in the atmosphere, it will be oxidized by oxygen in the atmosphere. The hydroinsurance powder decomposes rapidly in an aqueous solution with a pH value of less than 5, but it is quite stable in an alkaline medium (the solution is preferably a buffer), but it can also decompose to generate sulfides under strong alkaline conditions.
